Here's the thing...

 

Here's the thing about most speakers bureaus: You fill out a form. It goes... somewhere. Maybe someone gets back to you. Maybe they don't. Maybe you hear from an "account manager" who's never actually met the speakers they're pitching you.

That's not how I work.

When you reach out to me, you get ME. Kathy. The person who wears tiaras to Zoom calls, lives in a tiny house in the Missouri woods with three dogs, and personally vets every speaker I recommend.

What Happens When We Talk?

If you're an event planner/host:

  • We'll talk about your event, your audience, your goals
  • I'll ask questions to understand what kind of speaker would actually fit (not just who's available)
  • If I have someone perfect for you, I'll tell you
  • If I don't, I'll be honest about that too
  • Zero pressure. Zero sales pitch. Just real, valuable help.

My service is completely free to you. You pay your speaker their fee (like normal), and I handle my arrangement with them separately.

If you're a speaker:

  • We'll talk about where you are in your speaking career
  • I'll be honest about whether I think we're a good fit
  • If we are, I'll explain exactly how I work and what you can expect
  • If we're not, I'll tell you that too (and maybe point you in a better direction)

I only work with a small number of speakers at a time because I'm personally hustling for each one. So I'm picky. But if we're aligned, we're going to do great work together.

A Few Things to Know Before You Reach Out

 

I'm based in Missouri. Central Time Zone. I live in a national forest and have to drive an hour to get groceries, but I'm excellent at Zoom calls and email.

I'm in-your-face honest. If something's not a fit, I'll tell you. If I think you're making a mistake, I'll tell you. If your event needs a different kind of speaker than you think it does, I'll tell you. Some people love this. Some people find it jarring. You've been warned.

I overshare. You will probably learn about my dogs, my tiny house, my history in the corporate world, and other random life details. It's just how I operate.

I care deeply about making good matches. My reputation is on the line with every introduction I make. So I'm not going to pitch you a speaker who isn't right, and I'm not going to take on a speaker I don't genuinely believe in.
